IEEE802.3bt is worth noting
The arrival of IEEE 802.3bt heralds a new era of strong market opportunities for PoE technology, and the standard is a solid foundation for expanding the Ethernet Alliance’s PoE certification program. One of the innovations is worth noting:
First: IEEE 802.3bt triples the maximum power of power supply equipment (PSE) from 30 W to 90 W, and increases the power level of powered devices (PD) to 71.3 W.
Second: IEEE 802.3bt increases the number of supported classes from 4 to 8, targeting Type 3 and Type 4 power supply equipment (PSE) and powered devices (PD) of 4-90 W and 3.84-71.3 W, respectively.
Third: The IEEE 802.3bt standard provides many new features and functions, such as support for efficient 4-pair power transmission and channel definition to support 2.5 Gbps, 5 Gbps, and 10 Gbps PoE operation.
