DC input power supply application UL60950-1 Precautions
Suitable for DC mains (DC MAINS SUPPLY) DC input power supplies because of large differences
in the specifications of the input voltage, it can be based on the total DC power supply (DC MAINS
SUPPLY) have different voltage insulation design considerations. Summarized as follows:
1.Need to give priority to the total DC power (DC MAINS SUPPLY) Supply Voltage (Operating Voltage)
and float voltage (floating Voltage), regardless of the DC input power supply voltage marked values
indicated why. For example, if the input power supply is labeled as -60 V dc, according to IEC TR62102,
DC Total Power (DC MAINS SUPPLY) Supply Voltage (Operating Voltage) should be -75 V dc.
2.If the input voltage is less than 60V, simply enter as SELV, for output to stay Functional insulation,
and reference the relevant requirements.
3.If the input voltage range of 60V-80V, to enter as TNV-2, for output to stay Basic insulation, and
reference the relevant requirements.
4.If the input voltage is higher than 80V, to enter as a Hazardous voltage, the output should
remain Double insulation / Reinforced insulation.
5.If the built-in the case of low voltage input with a large current, pay attention to use UL approved
DC Fuse, non-optional AC Fuse replaced.
6.Terminal requirements shall comply with the requirements of Section 3.2.1.2
